Good find. Seems stupid to be wasting all that traffic promoting a hair loss ebook.

Right away any chick or dude WITH hair is going to not even care.

Why not put a link to an Adsense site or CPA offer? Hair loss? Seems moronic.

Clickbank ID is "pagedirect"

Might not even be making a dime with that video when he could be making a killing with a CPA offer (or page with several) or an Adsense page. Or almost anything other than hair loss for that matter.

Plus he needs to put the link to his site in "http://www." form so it is clickable. People are lazy.

One more thing. Seems weird the video is #6 on Google's results but doesn't show up on the first page of Google's video results.

Heck, isn't even in the first 5 pages of the Video results.

Damn, is that your doing?

lol no.

According to iwebtool, that page has 4 backlinks (I don't know how accurate that it). Two of them are from vidmeter.com, a PR5 site. Of course the video itself is a PR4.

But it can't honestly be that easy? I'm missing something.

And yeah, I don't know why the hell he's doing this with a hair loss product. It's got 518k views. If he just made his own video and put it on metacafe (if metacafe even ranks like this and he got 3/5 stars - not too hard), he could make some SERIOUS bank.

EDIT: Forgot YouTube showed you how many links...

18192 clicks from Friendster Video
1416 clicks from TubeVube.com - Only Most Popular Videos!
993 clicks from Whiskas » Cha.lt - anekdotai, linksmi paveikslëliai, video, audio, flash, juokingos istorijos, þaidimai...
966 clicks from http://www.friendster.com/video.php?src=youtube&...
857 clicks from http://www.buscatube.com/index/youtube/3F6ypkhNpnk/V...

Well, I spent some time looking at it yesterday and doing a little digging, and I really have to say I think it's just a fluke.

I really think the person who put this video up just got lucky.

Heck ,they've now even taken the domain that was in the description (regrowmyhair.info) off the video.

I really think that if the person was smart enough to get this up there on purpose, then they also would have been smart enough to use it to promote something where they could actually make money.

Point is, they got to the front page of Google for a hot term and managed to get 520k views out of it.

Now we just need to figure out how to replicate it.
