I've just started playing around with Ruby. I've been waiting to get my hands dirty with Rails for a little while now. Went out and got a Ruby book and a RoR book. They were both pretty good. Working on my first pet project now which is really a remake of one of my sites that is written in PHP.
At first I didn't think I would like the loose syntax rules and the way the code flows, but now it seems to make things simpler and more efficient once you get used to the style.
I've got big plans for a couple of projects using RoR. I'm not much of a programmer, so I contract everything out. But from what I can tell, it's a very flexible platform. It's going to make a lot of my ideas easier to implement.
