Incredibly cheap hosting with dreamhost

Looking for a hosting account I can afford to get in trouble with and found dreamhost giving away $100 worth of hosting. At there baby plan which hosts unlimited domains and 200 GB of storage and 2 TB of bandwidth, thats $20 for a year. Seemed like a no brainer..

Only catch is it ends in about 5 hours.

In my experience - so does all quality hosting & support where Dreamhost are concerned.

They do refund though
 
Anyone that is hosted with dreamhost can give out a $97 coupon too (they would only make money if you renew in a year). I'll give anyone one if they don't make this deadline.

In my experiences with them, it's all about what server you get on. Order and pray!

They have done alright for me, so maybe I got lucky. I have seen a lot of people complain about them.

i thought i've read elsewhere that the free accounts get crowded on crappy servers - or at least they were good servers til they were overloaded. it seems that matched people's experiences with DH.
 
can anyone recommend some good cheap hosting then? I was actually goingto go with DH but this doesn't sound too good. I heard hostgator was good but when comparing the hosting plans DH looks just way better.
 
what ben said is exactly true. which server you get on is key. i have two accounts with them and for one i'm on a shitty server and it's hell. i'm going to get moved asap.
 
anyone know which servers are the better ones, and which are the worse ones? I got jammed on Saltine, which is ok. not amazing, but not horrible.
