Those of you who run incentivized offers... how are you tracking which member does which offer? It can be a problem if you have a very busy sites with multiple members fulfilling each particular offer. Do the affiliate networks give you feedback on this?

I think the incentivized offer business model is in decline, even though I'm doing this myself. Personally, I'm looking for new ways to create income, possibly through direct advertising.

Please ban

Mods, poodlehead is generally negative and contributes nothing to this forum except negativity (check his posting history). Please ban.

Too bad the incientived offers generally suck
Yes, and no. There are still many good incentivized offers, but they tend to pay less and advertisers consider them less desirable leads. Like PPC I think it's going to wane.

I wouldn't ban him. I don't fear his negative opinion.

Does anybody have an answer to my original question?

Read his posts and see if you think he contributes anything AT ALL to this forum. I've never asked for a ban on anyone before (I don't even mind people whoring their little ebooks if they can post actual helpful contributions) but this guy is begging for it.

Well i have 30 postings and i haven't really contribute anything to, should i get a ban to?

If you dont like his postings i am sure there is a ignore list some where you can put him there, but asking for a ban that is a bit much imho

I suspect he likes playing devil's advocate with you. His posts are either a challenge, or food for thought. Either way, it furthers the discussion.

Anybody have an answer to the question?

Thanks guys. This is a forum where people are entitled to thier opinions even if you dissagree with them.

Yeah, banning people cos you don't agree with what they say is a bit shitty.... looks like he's been banned though!

I don't run incentivised offers, but I'm sure you can either buy a script to handle it, or have someone make one. Most networks let you attach a parameter to their links for tracking - this could be dynamically generated
and fed back to your membership system.

Hi HellaGood,

Sub-ID tracking is pretty straightforward and supported by many networks. The first thing you need to do is append the sub-ID tracking code to the end of the link URL you get from the network interface. This sub-ID tracking code would contain a member ID or something similar that you use on your side to track the member who actually clicked through.

When the member completes a lead, the sub-ID that was used in the initial click-through is stored in the database as part of the lead info.

You then have two choices to get the information back. Your first choice is to run a report of all the leads (with the sub-IDs) that were generated within a particular timeframe, then you can import that data into your system. Your second choice is to setup a callback script on your side so that you are notified the instant a lead is completed by a surfer. This is known as closed-loop reporting.

I see that you are already an affiliate of MB, so feel free to contact me via e-mail should you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

sub id

I have custom software I have written to do this exact thing. Contact me via PM to discuss as I dont want to seem like I am doing self promotion.

I believe you can add your own id's to the tracking urls of each offer so that you can track them. for example, if you had a person signed up to your incentivized site that has an id of "15" then you would include "15" in the tracking url for the offer so that you know they were the ones that got the lead.
