Screw the fancy-schmancy graphics and all that other crap ... let me just lay this on the line for you.
I've done quite a lot of copywriting in the offline world and I'm looking to make a switch to online.
But a rep is a rep ... and online I don't have one. I am totally not interested in doing any more of the kind of garbage I've done offline so working with my previous customers is out of the question.
So here's the skinny. If you provide the site template for me to work from here is what I will do for you:
1) Create a gripping squeeze page that gets people into your mailing list (assuming you use squeeze pages of course)
2) Create the sales page for your product.
3) Hell, if you'll be selling an ebook or even something that can be done by camtasia I'll do the research and create the product itself assuming you don't already have it created.
Now here's where this gets interesting.
And when I have delivered, I'll continue to work with you until you like it.
At that point, and only at that point, will I ask for you to pay me ... and I'll let YOU pick what you pay me.
You decide how much value I have provided and pay me based on that.
Ideally, payment will include some kind of "here's x grand for doing the work" and a royalty based on your profits.
So, I'm willing to stick my rear out on the line and do everything up front.
However, I am after REPUTATION ... so that means that I am looking for people that are "someone" online. I am looking for people that I can readily verify that you are trustworthy and won't simply take my hard work and run.
There is one major "gotcha" to this ... You have to be willing to be available as a reference for me to my next 10 potential customers.
You don't have to blow smoke ... just be willing to give your honest opinion of my work and only to a max of 10 folks. (and if you like my work so much that you refer people to me you'll get a percentage of what I get from those folks)
You also have to be willing to promote a product I create in the future ... but ONLY if you think the product is worthy of being promoted by you.
You get much of the initial ground work laid for you with little time of your own invested at all ... and you are not risking ANYTHING. You only pay what the work is worth AFTER you have seen everything completed.
Now, I'm not going to lie to you or try and pull the wool over your eyes either.
What I am looking to do is take a couple of short cuts to success online.
Instead of going the long and arduous route of slowly meeting people, I'm looking to put something out that is so obviously beneficial to anyone that knows anything ... and at the same time at such a low level of risk, that you would be foolish to not take me up on this offer.
In exchange, I get to build my own online rep by association, meet folks that are already big dogs and make friends in a bit of a shorter timeframe.
So, yes, I am getting something out of this as well.
