I really don't know why people are making up so dumb policies.. Few weeks ago I updated my domain's contact information and this domain is now few days before expiration but when I try to transfer it away from fucking GoDaddy then they tell me I can't because I need to wait 60days before I can do anything with it, I mean WHAT, if domain is gone in few days?

So I guess I've left no other choice than renew because I can let this domain die, PR and stuff like that..

GoDaddy is one of the worst domain registrars out there and I am moving my portfolio away from them to Moniker.

Tis called ICANN.

Jason
The waiting period from ICANN is supposed to be when the domain has changed registrars, not when you've changed your contact info. That is GoDaddy's policy.

Get your names out of GD, seriously. Go to Moniker. If you have a lot of domains, contact someone there and pay only $6.95 per domain.

Why the hell do people trust their real estate with budget shitty registrars?

I have 200+ domains registered at Network Solutions. Never a problem.

Been using go daddy for a few years now without any REAL BIG problems.
Idk, maybe i ICANN rules dont permit that domain to be moved without the 60 day waiting time..

Good to hear about your fine experience with network solutions. I dunno if I wouldn't include NetSol in the list of shitass registrars -- heard lot of bad things about them at DNforum.

BTW Sex.com theft took place with them only. The most secure domain registrar that I know of is Moniker.com (they have some of the most tight security . Plus they give me a special $6.95 pricing.

If it's between Moniker and Namecheap to transfer domains away from GoDaddy which one would you use?

Which do you think has the better user interface for bulk transfers, modifications to nameservers, etc?

Namecheap is my favorite interface, but they aren't a registrar themself, since they are under Enom. Because of that, I keep my names at Moniker because it feels more secure.

serious? i've never heard anything bad about netsol. One thing that people do not realize is there is a GOLD Network Solutions plan for people that have a bunch of domain names. You get better prices and 24/7 phone access to a rep that answers right away (i've tested many times).

To me... I need the reliable service... if it cost $5 bucks more per domain per year... so be it.
