I've been doing a bit of thinking lately and noticed that many small and start up businesses miss out on a lot of good business because:

  • They don't have any employees or office to handle phone calls. - May it be sales or support
  • They have good data but can't do telemarketing because they don't have anyone to make those calls. (Most might want to do it themselves but decide otherwise to save them the embarrassment of being asked to fuck themselves in the ass for disturbing the prospect while he's getting his cock sucked by his secretary)

Basically, I've been planning to start something like "outsourced telephone operators" for small businesses - Inbound as well as Outbound, completely customized as per the client's request.

These big call centers don't accept small clients and even when they do, they fuck it up big time.
I'm just thinking of offering some sort of solutions for these poor dudes who could probably mint money with such a service available.

Do you guys see a market for such a service?
The pricing would be something like $1500-2000 for a single technician and about $1000-1500 for a tele-marketer. (+ call charges through their preferred VOIP provider).

Now as all of you already know DumDum is from India and yes, most of you have had a lot of bad experiences with outsourced support techs but many of you who have used my services in the past already know that my guys are different from the other 'Asians'.
The grammar and English is certainly good enough to work with, and would do just fine for written content like Live Chat support etc.

However, I don't think I would be able to find guys who could fake an American or English accent very well but they certainly will be clear and understandable easily!

So what do you guys think? Shall I start working towards it?
If any of you are in need of a tele marketing or a phone support solution, do PM me since I'd definitely love to know what you're looking for as a part of my research.

Also, what kind of infrastructure investments am I looking at? I assume a decent VOIP provider along with a solid ISP would be good enough to start with.

PS: I'm thinking of offering completely customizable solutions wherein the client provides the cold call sales script or a call module for tech support and the operators would be trained accordingly.
They would be transferring calls to the client if required whenever he/she is available/online.

Do give me your feed back and any good advice or suggestions will be REWARDED WITH MORE BOOBS AND A BIG THANK YOU!!.

There's a shitload of call centers sitting empty waiting for products and the number of call centers specifically targeting small business owners for internet marketing/ad space in the united states.

You need to be a little more original then getting some indians on the phone cold calling.

That just does not work anymore.

I would advise everyone to stay away from outsourced telemarketing services recruit reps to work from home in the states - this in turn usually just leads them to referring a friend or family members business.(if your targeting marketing clients etc)

Not hating on your game DumDum but the learning curve for each business will be high and the clients patience will be low.

With that said if you got a bunch of reps looking to work why dont you approach a affiliate network and see if they have any potential clients for you.

Getting a national brand that is less concerned with locality of reps and most likely shady will be much better served by your services then a small scale operation.

I was autodialing teeth whitening rebills at one point $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The ignorant fucks in big cities need those small time jobs more then you do :P

let me just tell you this - if you are going to start a call center operation for small/mid sized businesses - HIRE US RESIDENTS.

You would not believe the ROI we see in certain niches based on american telemarketers. It may cost more, but it is well worth it.

Depending upon your budget for a phone system - I would go with an AllWorx or Avaya system. Cheaper to setup/install than a cisco - and performance is just as good - providing you have decent bandwidth and managed switches for QoS tagging on voice packets. The great thing about either of these phone systems is that you can setup SIP trunks and save a bundle on long distance / grab local numbers if you plan on offering your services nationally - or any of your clients need overseas or out of country calling.

If you had to, with VoIP, you could also ship an employee a phone to work out of their home, while monitoring all the voice data at your main location. This I don't recommend - due to call dropping / voice quality because you dont really know the setup they have at the employees house - but it is always an option.

A call center is ALWAYS a good investment in my eyes, providing its done correctly!!

Thanks guys, I guess I didn't think things through. ;-)
Thanks for your opinion anyways.
More boobies will be coming up soon as a token of appreciation.

Check it out. More than thinking this through, you need to finalize on knowing what market you intent to cater to. By the looks of things, it seems like you want to target the US market. By the looks of your signature, it seems you want them to buy Hosting. Well it’s cheeky if you ask me. But there are suckers if you can find the right approach. Instead of calling it a call center – why don’t you call it a marketing team? A call center is something that makes and receives calls for technical assistance. This should not be your primary concern.
Try focusing on standard operational procedures which can deliver you sales results. If you have a team, train them. Get someone to manage their productivity and reward them for every sale they make. You say you are from India. I understand labor is cheap (no offence). Train them with voice and accent. Gather a database and start making sales calls. Remember to add a trial coupon or some sort of free service to those who may not be interested.

There is only one issue that you may have. Most of the US fuckups would not want to talk over the phone. You need to rethink your approach. If you need to cater to an international market, you need to think this through. You need to have a thorough sales pitch which does not sound too formal but at the same time, it should be able to deliver results. If you intend targeting your local market with door to door sales, you will see better results. But remember, your team needs to be trained efficiently. Sloppy bastards will not do.

The reason I have written this 300 odd word reply is because I can understand the effort you are trying to get on. I used to be in a voice process before. So I have a fair idea of how things go on. Ironically, you Indians beat us to it and now we outsource. (No Offence) And now you tell me you want to outsource back to the US? Think twice brother.
