In case you didnt know, tax season is coming up. I confronted a local tax prep business about becoming an affiliate for their business. We agreed to a fee of $30 for every PAID customer I referred to them - no CPA :(

Anyway, I can market this across the US. Could I get some pointers as to how to do this? The reason I ask is, I am an article marketer. Article marketing and SEO take time before results really start coming in. The tax business is only going to be in season for 3 months and begins Fri. So, I have a very short window to work with.

As you can see, I am new here, but I think this is a relevent topic to the forum.

Thanks

If you have no Idea how to do this, what the hell did you pitch them to get them to agree to partner with you?
Basically, this.

How are you going to make sure that you get paid for your leads? What's to stop them from telling you no one converted and keeping all of their customers?

PPC is what you're going to need to read up about to drive traffic in a short period of time, but you've got a LOT of reading up to do about it.

Hello friend,

I no understand. You first say it a local tax business. Then you say you market it across America.

Is it a local tax business with many branch across America? If it only a local tax business then it no do a lot of good advertise across America. If local tax business you need to advertise local.

Good luck bro.

They are a local tax business, but they can prepare taxes for anyone. This gives me the advantage of leveraging the internet to find business.

I was going to create an incentive. The customer MUST present the cuopon code when having their taxes done. The only way they can get the coupon is to opt in to the mailing list. This way I can follow up and find out who had their taxes done, and who - if any - I didnt get paid for. Plus the business owner is a long time friend who I practically live with...thhat always helps

shouldnt market what you dont know cuz this is what happens

get ranked for your local city tax kws which should be easily rankable, then if u need more push u'll have to dig into ppc. tahts the only way u can do this w/out coming out like a poser.

that or start flyering locally lol

Hello friend,

You have to think what benefit people in other state have by send this people tax document online to prepare tax and no use a local accountant in their area.

I think if people want a real accountant to do tax they want meet person in real life first.

I also think if people want to do tax online for convenient they may use program like turbotax and do themselve.

Just something to think about.

Good luck bro
