I need a free geocder.

I want to dump in a csv file, tab deliminated table, mysql database, etc. of addresses and get the long/lat back - batchgeocode.com is down, every address resolves to 0/0.

Any other options out there?

How many addresses are you trying to geocode at a time? If you can deal with Yahoo's 5000/day limit, I would recommend their API:

The Google Maps API also has a geocoder, but I don't know what their daily limit is:

There's also a free Perl-based program that uses the census bureau data, which is not quite as good as some of the commercial products, but it does a decent job and lets you run it on your computer without limits:

I found a great excel sheet that let me paste in my addresses and it pulled the long/lat from Yahoo. All you need to input is your Yahoo key - I converted it to xml and I was good to go.
