How to track Facebook shares?

I'm setting up a widget in a site that'll allow people to share the page. But I want to be able to track/view the conversation about the shares. You guys know a good way to do this?

I think most shares will come from the FB side of things rather than from your page itself fwiw

If its shared on fb you wont be able to track the conversion rates of the page at all unless you put a script on that post being shared. What you can do is track how many shares it will get and how many clicked on it.

Regarding how many views did the page made "VIA" sharing i think is impossible. Views can only be gathered via post on fanpages like see the "5001 people reached" but tracking how many viewed the shared post via different accounts I think is impossible atm
