I know... Its a weird question to ask and sort of defeats the purpose of getting drunk.

Heres my situation. Me and about 25 other guys have to drink 345 beers in 45 minutes (roughly 12 per person). I weigh about 130 lbs and start to feel it around 4 beers. Any tips on staying sober?

I hear rumors that if your stomach is full before you drink it takes more time to get drunk and if you drink water with each beer (probably not gonna happen). Curious if you guys know anything?

haha ....yah...

just eat before hand and or during....but like carb food...like bread and bugers and pasta/fries....nothing fancy like sushi puss

or u can always take one of those sober pills....or excuse yourself from the table after a couple of beers like a gentleman and go giver to the porcelain god

good luck.

You being drunk in 45 minutes isn't going to be the problem at all - that's only going to happen after it's all gone down.

The problems you're going to have are: i) keeping it down (if you're not used to drinking then the volume and pace are going to mean lots of the stuff trying to come out the wrong way) and ii) how drunk you're going to be afterwards.

Actually, 12 beers over 45 minutes isn't that much (though it depends whether you're talking pints or bottles (and if bottles, then the size of them) - you didn't specify). If you practise a little then it's going to be a hell of a lot easier: think training for a marathon. Start little and then build up. If you can train yourself to get 8 beers down in the allotted time then pushing yourself to another 4 isn't going to hurt.

Is that a bet?

12 beers in 45 minutes?
On a full stomach, it will take longer to get drunk, but you WILL get drunk.
Also, you might not have enough room for the beer.
If this is in the evening, try having a good breakfast (VERY good and generous portions) and a medium sized lunch a bit later than usual (2-3 pm)

How long away is that? Rather than trying to stay sober, build up your tolerance a bit by drinking every day before (5-6 beers).

Drinking water in between will help with the hangover the next day, not with staying sober.

The stomach thing is true. There are also certin things that you can eat to help. I think foods full of starch like french fries will help you not get drunk as fast also.

Either way, 12 beers, in 45 minutes, your going to be really drunk lol

Found this on google

- Drink a glass of milk to start the evening. It will retard the absorption of alcohol, and protect your stomach against irritations

- Never drink on an empty stomach. Food helps to absorb some of the alcohol and aids the body in digesting it faster. Consider eating starchy foods to slow the alcohol absorption.

at 130lbs...12 beers in 45 minutes you're going to get drunk as hell. have some heavier guys pick up some of the slack.

I'm guessing this is some kind of fraternity or sports team hazing.

12 beers in 45 minutes is going to be rough. If puking is allowed, the ol' puke and rally technique is your best bet. I'd suggest drinking as hard as you can (maybe even using a funnel) and aim to puke when you're a litte more than halfway done time-wise (you need to be 3/4 done beer-wise).

If you have a choice, choose a light beer with a small alcohol content that goes down like water. Perhaps Natural Light?

At least you don't have to funnel a gallon of milk.

PS Have the bigger guys pick up some slack so you only have to drink 10 or so.
The things you learn in college...

12 beers in 45 minutes sounds effectively impossible. Dude... I'm a "century club" guy, and that's only 100 ounces of beer in 100 minutes (which is fucking hard)... But you're talking about consuming 144oz of beer in 45 minutes. Unpossible. No way your body will let you keep that down the whole time, regardless of what's in your stomach.

Not to mention, as soon as the first guy goes, that's gonna set of a relay of puking... Ugh.

You HAVE to drink 12 beers? Sounds like some type of initiation.

I'm thinking it's pretty dangerous for you, since you're of a slight build (130 lbs) and likely not an "experienced" drinker. Putting 6-12 oz beers into your system in an hour will raise your blood alcohol content to @.15%. Twice as many in less than an hour will more than double your BAC.

BAC, or blood alcohol content, rises quickly and is not directly proportionate to the amount you consume. The more you consume the quicker your BAC rises. Drinking 12-12 oz beers in a 45 minute period of time could elevate your BAC to a fatal level.

Eating before you drink or drinking milk or anything else to coat the stomach is a myth. Nothing is absorbed through the stomach. Nutrients, alcohol and anything else absorbed by the body all takes place in the intestinal tract. Eating beforehand only slows down the amount you are able to consume because your stomach has less room.

Although it may seem cool to do something like this, dying is NOT cool. I'd advise against participating and if you're ridiculed for it, look at who's doing the ridiculing. Is that really a group you want to be associated with?

Yah- you could always pad the stomach with tons of bread to stop from getting so drunk. But with all that bread, you'll puke anyway from forcing so much beer down.

Either way you look at it, you'll be upchucking.

You could always slam em' back so fast that half the beer goes on your face.

.........

You should be careful though, man. For such a short timeframe, that could be a lot of alcohol for your body-weight. Don't black out; peer pressure isn't worth it.

A true century club is 150 ounces (1.5 ounces in a shot, 1 shot a minute) in 100 minutes. It's tough, but I think it's mostly because of all the foam/fizz/air that you end up swallowing. I've done 80 ounces of malt liquor in 12 or 13 minutes without puking, so this task is possible but probably not without puking.

Yeah its a frat hazing thing.

I'm not trying to stay completely sober, just as sober as possible. I'm not new to drinking, I know my limits and I have been drinking for a while. I think the most I've ever drank was about 12, over like 3 hours.

The beer would probably be keystone and I myself probably wouldn't need 12. I would throw up at least once. Yeah so thats the story.

I'm not worried about peer pressure, if I don't feel comfortable, I'll stop. I don't think they care that much.

slop it so 3/4 the beer spills all over you but you'll have to distract them by smashing each bottle on your forehead after you finish it!

I'm not worried about peer pressure, if I don't feel comfortable, I'll stop.

Excellent! I wasn't trying to be a "stick in the mud," just looking out for your well being and trying to let you know what some of the worst consequences might be. Go and have fun and good luck but don't be afraid to say "enough!"

Just keep in mind, that much alcohol WILL impede your judgement and ability to stop. Might be a good idea to have someone much larger there to haul your ass out if you lose the ability to think rationaly.
