Hey WickedFire Forum,

actually this is my first post in this forum (member since 2011) but since today there was no need to say / to ask anything but I've read a lot of good stuff in here.

I started doing SEO years ago, especially in my country Germany (Google.de). I know all the Dos and Donts, Tactics etc. but I never did SEO for Google.com / the english speaking world out there :) That's why I'm asking for your help. I want to ask you people for some good advices, some tips or links to nice services... anything you think I definitely should check out.

My problem: Most of the time the english speaking services I found look more or less spammy. I don't know if the german SEO services do care more about design but I didn't bought anything yet from a service which looks like crap and tells me the same time I will get only high quality links. Example (exaggerated): You get a New York Times link for just 99 dollars and the website of the service looks like we would still live in the 90's.

Some questions (just that you get some ideas what I'm looking for...):

- Where can I buy high quality / trusted links? Exist there a good website or serious service?
- Where can I find bloggers who want to review my service?
- Do you know a better / cheaper press release service than ereleases . com? (yes, I know press releases are not that good any more...bla bla from Matt)
- Where can I find good "standard" links for a good link mix? (bookmarks etc.)
- Target audience: Small and medium sized businesses -> where can I find them? Do you have some good websites in mind which I should contact?

Competitors: Y ola, W I X, w eebly (I think you know them...)

Yes, I'm fighting against huge companies with big teams and a huge budget for their online marketing. But I love to play the game how David and Goliath did.

oDesk - P.S.: If you think you're an SEO / marketing expert for he U.S. market and for my target audience contact me right away! Maybe we can work together via oDesk.

Best regards!

These are some difficult questions, since they are so specific. What one person might consider high quality / trusted links another might laugh at.

- Where can I buy high quality / trusted links? Exist there a good website or serious service? Trial and error, hunt and search through the BST and the internet to find ones that work.

- Where can I find bloggers who want to review my service? Do a Google search for bloggers in your industry and do an outreach campaign to them (email/contact them and ask them if they would like to do a review - there is a lot more to this but, that's the general gist).

- Do you know a better / cheaper press release service than ereleases . com? (yes, I know press releases are not that good any more...bla bla from Matt) Again Trial and error, look through the BST and look at reviews. If there are reviews from people you trust, then go with them.

- Where can I find good "standard" links for a good link mix? (bookmarks etc.) Again Trial and error. Test, test, and continue testing. Also just because something worked 6 months ago, doesn't mean it's going to work the next time around. Welcome to SEO.

- Target audience: Small and medium sized businesses -> where can I find them? Do you have some good websites in mind which I should contact? Google.com, LinkedIn.com, and small business forums. Do a search for the types of business, join forums, community organizations, associations they are a part of, and find places where they go to for help (example - this forum - but don't spam us please :)). Join the communities and get to know them, then let them know about your service/product.

I wrote a thread about guerilla marketing tactics that might help you out in your David versus Goliath battle - http://www.wickedfire.com/enlightened-members/177893-traffic-leaks-final-level.html. Several people started using the techniques and were already doing 100 to 200 new visitors the very next day. It is a NON-SEO approach - more real marketing with guerilla tactics.
