How to reduce the likelihood of failing ?

Well I finely made a decision and stopped read the blah blah shit,
I got accepted to Ads4Dough, opened an active adWords, adCenter, YahooMarketingSolutions(30$ deposit for the activation) accounts,
I have an hosting account with 2 domains (one of them is for the self-hosted Prosper202),
I am familiar with xHTML, CSS, photoshop, SEO, wordpress, and have a quite decent amount of theoretical data about internet marketing.
I seem to have what it takes to get started,
But I can't choose an offer, the ones that converts well are usually the bizopps,
which as I understand require a decent budget, and I'm looking for something small to start with,
With small loss risk likelihood and less competition than bizopps or diet matters, at least.
But as I'm looking at the offers, each seems to be competitive & hard to promote.

any suggestions ?

If you're confident that you already know enough to go with, then honestly it's a matter of going with what you're most comfortable with.
The problem with the highly competitive niches is that they're just that. You might blow your entire war chest before you can turn it around into profitable territory.

Start it slow, make sure you put a definite cap on your daily spend, and make sure it's 1/7 of what you're happy to blow in a week, because Daily spend isn't actually calculated daily a lot of the time.
If you're going for suckers markets, go to where the suckers are. I think you'll find a bit more luck with paid search on Bing and Y!, even if the volume is substantially lower.
