How to promote site with adult content?

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone can help me with this juicy issue...

I make websites for people (amongst my many talents!), and I have a client who wants me to make one with an adult theme. It's not porn, but it won't be for minors either!

I'm happy to make the site, but when it comes to SEO or other forms of promotion ... I mean, I can't exactly bookmark it or use other traditional backlinking methods, can I?

Apart from a handful of longtail keywords, what else can I do to bump it up the SE's for my client, (and web building reputation)?

Sure you can. Trade links with other adult sites.

There are social bookmarking sites made for adult sites too.
