How to prevent affiliate sites from getting indexed?

As the title says, I don't want my affiliate sites getting indexed by search engines.

If I disallowed all the bots in robot.txt, will it have any implications on QS/minimum bids in adwords or msn?
 


I'm just curious, what is the advantage to not having pages indexed?

yes, robots do help, just disallow all robots

I think webtrend is asking if he disallows all robots, will the adwords robot still be able to crawl and assign a QS? I'm actually not sure so I'm kind of waiting for an answer too
 
From Adwords rep:

In order to avoid increasing CPCs for advertisers who do not intend
to restrict AdWords visits to their pages, the system will ignore blanket
exclusions (User-agent: *) in ‘robots.txt’ files.
 
robots do not work at all..
none other than google (not even adwords) give f.. to robots text.

block useragents with .htaccess
 
test for get parms and block on their absence if you are going straight ppc.

you'll still want to use robots for referrer links

That and I don't want my pages cached by search engines in case shit hit the fan. Again, google may still be caching the page for all I know. But at least it won't be easily available.

props today for whoever meat spun me. i found your landing page by googling a random string and found over 500 of the exact same landers (you original copywriting genius you) but at least your's was smart enough to detect no get parms and reward we with gay sex for my efforts.

now just learn to keep your shit out of google's index.
