How to make a conditional Wordpress archive?

Ok, so here is what I want to do. I want to customize Wordpress so that the archive and rss links only show in categories/post pages and the archive. I don't want them to appear on regular pages like the homepage, about, links, etc. I know that I need an if/else type deal, but I have no idea how to write it. Would one of you be so kind as to help me out?

Not tested, but it should work.
