How to get rid of site title and tagline from header (Genesis Framework)

I just had several headers made for my Wordpress sites running on the Genesis Framework. Unfortunately, none of the traditional fixes for blanking out the site title and tagline seem to be working for me and the headers have custom fonts and site titles integrated into them with the designs and I'm not keen on getting rid of the custom text at this point.

I've tried a number of style.css hacks and removing certain code from the header to no avail, and there doesn't seem to be any custom hooks designed to accommodate fixing this problem.

Anyone got any ideas that could be of help?

I just don't know what I'm looking for and the themes I'm using don't have the typical tags that are listed when I do a google search; studiopress searching wasn't of any help either. I'm happy to post up reference code from the themes if need be to help answer the question.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice that's offered... :D

Without seeing the code, I'd said the simplest (if not the most elegant) solution would be to examine the elements you want to hide with Chrome Inspector, and then add JS to the template to hide those elements.

This has the header, footer and some others. He is suggesting hard coding it in the child theme. Good way to go.

There are also plugins called genesis simple hooks and simple edits that allow some changes and I tend to use these if I am just changing the footer.

BTW Genesis does everything but the hooks system is a little different than normal Wordpress

Go to headers in the "Appearance" section and uncheck the box that says "Show header text with your image."

It's unbelievable how much crap is on the first two pages of Google from "so-called" developers and such, and yet this fix required so little time. I'm almost embarrassed this worked so easily and was right in front of my nose.

Thanks for everyone's input.
