Google Adwords QS System is really annoying. Although I masked my affiliate link in my landing page, my QS has never been more than 6/10. Mostly, they are 1-5/10. It's crazy. How to beat the new QS system? Any luck, affiliate marketers?
Lies and deception. That's all we're getting from you here. haha.Better quality?
Though they also say the LP isn't as important any more. It still is, just not as much since QS is calculated on a search by search basis now.Quality Score for Google and the Search Network
While we continue to refine our Quality Score formulas for Google and the search network, the core components remain more or less the same:
- The historical clickthrough rate (CTR) of the keyword and the matched ad on Google; note that CTR on the Google Network only ever impacts Quality Score on the Google Network—not on Google
- Your account history, which is measured by the CTR of all the ads and keywords in your account
- The historical CTR of the display URLs in the ad group
- The quality of your landing page
- The relevance of the keyword to the ads in its ad group
- The relevance of the keyword and the matched ad to the search query
- Your account's performance in the geographical region where the ad will be shown
- Other relevance factors
when my CTR was less than 2%, my QS was 6/10. Then it goes up to 2.5% but my QS brought down to 3/10. Why is that? It's all about the targeting: tighter ad groups & keyword grouping will improve relevancy (to the search query and otherwise). This will also increase your CTR, so it's a win-win if done properly. Good luck![]()
