How often do you check your stats?

When doing PPC affiliate marketing:

1. How often do you check your stats?

2. How much time per day do you spend checking your stats?

3. How does #1 and #2 differ if its a new niche or set of adgroups?

between 8am and 6pm i check stats right around 10x per hour, multiple projects (9 or so sponsors ).. Ranging from server traffic(cacti[bandwidth], awstats per domain [watch individual indexing/unique], overall awstats [by project], adsense and other sponsors)

How on earth do you get anything else done?!?

I do less constant checking and more analysis of aggregated stats. So I don't check multiple times a day, but I make a point to sit down with ALL of my data from all the different revenue streams and identify patterns, changes, etc. I can generally get some ideas for tweaks from that.

Each morning, I sit down with my spreadsheet and calculate gross and net revenues from the previous day. This is my most important stat check of the day.

Throughout the day, I check stats pretty often. Probably every 10-15 minutes at least. I know it's probably not the most efficient thing to do, but I still get my work done.
 
Checking your stats throughout the day is a motivation killer, I used to be a stat lover, check them each hour, but I've finally forced myself to check them once when I wake up and once when I go to bed, the rest of the time is focused on working.

I have to do it this way or I would never get anything done, I'd be checking them all day, getting pissed off when their slow and happy when there good.
 
This is probably the best way to do it, otherwise you'll go mad. This isn't just concerning PPC, but the checking of any stats. It'll make you clinically insane. Work hard, check your stats a maximum of once a day, and you'll be much much much happier.
 
I have the adsense extension for firefox and i go through all the channels 2 or 3 times a day to see how it's going.
