ive been using the company asmallorange.com for a while and they have really good support and had no problems with them for long time.

Lately there has been around 3 or more hours of downtime a week that i noticed, and last weekend my site was down for almost 2 days. Its been like this for a couple months. I have plenty of freetime to write this because i cant work on my site that is down, and my ppc is going to a site that isnt up.

How much downtime do you guy think is acceptable?

Definitely not that amount of downtime. You need to move hosts.

I put up with a few minutes every couple of weeks or so. I think couple of hours a week is totaly unaceptable, and if one of my sites was offline for more than a few hours in one go I would be switching hosts.

I say depends...

Normally 0%...

But once I had a host go down, and when I called they explained one of their Texas data centers caught fire / blew up. It caught me soo off guard and the thought of a data center explosion just cracked me up. So I let it go, poured out a little liquor for the servers that got smoked, and in about 6 hours everything was back.

Shit happens... If it happens too often then switch. It's also about speed though. ResellerZoom is pretty good. They also support your customers if you want to actually sell a few cPanel accounts instead of just running all your domains in their own cpanels.
