I am a newbie and have been building the site for 2 months. I have not earned any money yet. 2 months without income means failure?!!! How long it takes to get your first affiliate income? :love-smiley-087:

I don't think about earning now. Because I just started learning about affiliate marketing. I hope when I will be an expert guy then I can earn from affiliate marketing.

It all depends on your on traffic my friend if it's 30-40 daily, go for it apply in affiliate providing websites like Amazon etc...

It depends on your methods, and traffic is just traffic until you monetize it. Qualified traffic is better than random traffic when it comes to making conversions and making more money. What's your traffic source, etc? You should try to find some journeys and guides in a similar niche to yours and compare, keep learning.

I am totally new to affiliate marketing and didn't get my first income yet. But I am trying hard to reach my goal. I hope I can. Thanks!

You can earn money on an affiliate by bringing the real traffic to your site. So concentrate on getting traffic. 2 month is not too long. So don't think it is a failure. Still a long way to go. All the best

How exactly are you trying to get money? 2 months is not big time for developing good audience on the website, so no money for this period is not a failure, if you see traffic growth. What statistics shows?

Im still yet break even so, yeah, earning? not yet

although, ive been getting checks for my efforts now and the roi line seems to be closing in :)

Being prepared to spend money to learn is a must

I would disagree with that - it all depends on the product being advertised and more importantly the traffic source AND quality.

Other than telling the OP that 2 months is not a long time and far more successful affiliates have waited longer for their first sale/commission, there's not a lot of guidance you can give without knowing those details; but telling someone to throw money at something they don't understand in order to learn from their mistakes isn't going to help.

For example, I could tell you that buying traffic from a shady source isn't going to help your sales. Hundreds of people on hundreds of blogs and forums will tell you the same thing if you're willing to take the time and effort to research. Or you could blow $70 on bot traffic and find out the hard way.

Being willing to spend doesn't mean you should be willing to throw money away.

Forget about income and it will come naturally. Focus on driving targeted traffic to your website. Build authority and make sure you add high-quality content to your website. Make sure the ads and products promoted are relevant to your content and money should flow naturally. Be patient, your goal should be to make your website as useful and as authoritative as possible and income will come... I wish you a lot of success!

2 months is not long as it was mentioned above, just keep driving traffic to your resource. Practice makes perfect.

The journey to a stable online income is not in 24 hours that is why if you have a current job you are adviced to hold on to it until your online business is striving.
Having said that, Keep up the good work you are doing now and:
a. if you site is content based, create good content that will stand out from the crowd
b. if you have some money to spend(a few hundreds) invest in paid ads, to your blog or article.
c. Do some seo and other non paid traffic geberating methods
d.Build and email list
f promote affiliate links if you don't have your own product

What the paid ad will do is give you a quick result on your marketing effort while the non paid traffic generation if done well and consistently will reap good fruits in the long run.

Being in the game for 2 months without earning should not discourage you. Keep learning and applying what you are learning. You will succeed.

It can take a few months before you start earning. Work on getting traffic to your website. Money will come if there is traffic so focus on getting that.

are you getting free traffic or buying?
what offers are you promoting and what payout type?

What is your traffic source, primary country? How much qualified your traffic? What offers are you promoting?
