How do you make a post index with Wordpress?

I looked around in their forums and found some posts but couldn't really get it to work... what I'm trying to do is make a page that lists all my posts alphabetically, pretty much an index.

Anyone got some tips or a link I can read?

I've always wanted to do this too. It would make for a much cleaner archive.

I like it the way it is. So I frankly fail to see the problem.

Well, because if someone wants to look through your posts in a certain category they need to go through lots of pages (depending on how many posts you've made)

If you had one index it would make things a ton easier for people to find the article or topic they're interested in.
