What are some things you do to separate yourself from competitors in a saturated niche? You don't have to be really specific or share site names, just some tips that go beyond better SEO.

Drink the blood of your enemies; that seems to work sometimes.

For real though, depending on how competitive the niche is, you may just want to stay out of it and use the time you would have used trying to come up with an edge to develop something in a niche that is not as competitive

You separate yourself by differentiating yourself.

Within the "attracting the opposite sex" niche:
- Weight loss
- Attraction psychology
- Beauty products

Going deeper to within the "becoming more attractive by losing weight" niche:
- Acai berries
- Green tea extract
- Fad diet book

Even deeper, within the "becoming more attractive by losing weight with acai berries" niche (disclaimer: the following are hypothetical products with hypothetical claims):
- Acai wine ("proven to be more effective than regular acai juice for fat loss!")
- Fructose-free acai juice ("for low-carb dieters!")
- Acai enemas!

Whenever starting a new site/business, make sure there are barriers to entry that set you apart from other competition. Inside info, industry connections, strategic partnerships, etc. It's a basic but vital business concept.

Offer what others aren't or can't.

You make your own competition, be creative, give them something they don't expect.

Lol, I guess it really is simple, but I guess I was looking for more specific examples, but I guess that would vary according to the niche. I like the idea of sharing or giving readers something they don't expect.

I add more value on the site itself. eg. for a couple of me weight loss CB review sites I have a BodyFat and BMI Calculator. It's just there to enhance user experience and beef the dynamics of the page up a bit.
