If you look for 3d models you come across all kinds of ripped game assets, or even better, forums that allow group-buys and open file sharing, and even better, private torrent sites.
What I'm trying to figure out is how to do something similar, without going to jail....
Are they hosted in china? Do you have to hire a frontman to buy the domain in their name?
The site doesn't actually handle the files, just the links to the files at various filesharing servers and update them as they get taken down.... Ideally it would fetch the files, zip them, and give a temporary download link, so the real files wouldn't get taken down as easily...
One site, is a "club" and you have to upload to get bandwidth or pay money. Is the paypal account they use likely a front business?
It's a good amounts of users I've noticed, a thread will get 3K+ views in hours, and I have a lot of stuff they don't have.
