Before today I used a reseller hosting plan so every time I wanted to set up a landing page I would create a new cPanel account.

I understand a lot of people use shared Hosting Plans and was wondering if you are using Add-On domains and if that has any effect on SEO, Traffic etc ?

There's no difference at all between the two sites (add-on vs cpanel) in the eyes of the outside world.

From my experience, domains on shared hosting tend to get less bot hits ... If you're talking about a 30 page site, let it rip on shared hosting. 100,000 pages, consider something more exclusive.

I won't speak about +/- in SERPs since I've never strictly tested large sites on a shared server but I can't say I've had problems with small-mid sized ones.

Though add-on is easier to manage if you just want a single login to mess with a bunch of similar made sites.

You should be fine using add-on domains. Most providers are allowing you to have as many as you want for cheap these days too

There is no effect on SEO with using add-on domains. The only issue could be if you do to much interlinking between the sites that are all on the same IP address.
