Hi,

I've been lurking here for a while gathering all the info i can. I think i'm ready to get my feet wet. I'll probably only do a bit of bum marketing to begin with to learn some of the ropes without risking much more than time. I'm wondering what are the best options for buying domains and hosting.

I've read that Zensix is good for hosting and Name cheap is good for buying domains. What do you guys think?? Any suggestions would be more than welcome, thanks!!

Namecheap are the tits :)

Hostgator are good, I pretty much just buy a package for each new affiliate site and it's set up pretty much instantly, never had any problems in years.

I've heard good things about Zensix also.

Thanks for the advice. I've just registered at clickbank so as soon as a have hosting I can get moving. Would i be better getting unlimited hosting for setting up multiple review/blog sites and landing pages??

Zensix is great for shared hosting. I haven't used their VPS service (and I think it's closed for the time being).

JaguarPC for VPS has been fine so far.

Zensix is great. Great service, great support, great prices. I have them for shared hosting, VPS Hosting, and their managed services for my dedicated server. As for domains as everyone said namecheap is great. I would wait for Zensix to get their next round of VPS up and then go that route. Send Subigo a PM on here and he may be able to give you an ETA.

I personally go for BlueHost, but I got a great deal for a 3year hosting package with unlimited everything. I never had problems, though.

I also use namecheap/hostgator and like it... used BlueHost previously but didn't like it as much.

Use coupon code "interface" when buying domains on NameCheap and you will get a little discount.

I've had good experiences with GoDaddy and HostGator for shared, Zone.net (now owned by SolarVPS) for VPS, and SoftLayer hands down for dedicated. Not 100% sure about Zone.net now that they're owned by SolarVPS though.

I'm trying to sign up for namecheap, but their system is already pissing me off and i'm not even a customer yet. I keep getting a message that says, "phone numbers must be numeric". I left the drop down box at +1 and entered my number 555.555.5555, (555) 555-5555, 5555555555, and 555-555-5555, so WTF do they want? What format does it need to be in?

i'm Using Hostgator, they provide good service, I'm really happy with hostgator..
hope Its little costlier than other hosting......

Just made a test account and went to register a domain, I put '555555555' in the box next to +1 and it worked...
