Hostess going out of business

I hope someone records the next union get together, and puts it up on Youtube. That'd be pretty good to watch.

"You got all 18,500 of us laid off, you fucken assholes!"

Company Execs are Pussies for quitting and the Workers are pussies for doing less and wanting more. One of us Ballers needs to buy the Twinkie Rights and logos and make cock cakes.

So i guess with the shit going on in the middle east and now this, next month will be the end!

Everyone in the US is fighting over Their products right now. Could this just be good marketing?

Here are some comments around the Interwebz:

They told me if I voted for Mitt Romney there would be massive layoffs. And they were right.

No doubt the White House is looking at this as a 'win-win' situation. No more of that unhealthy processed food making its way into the
schools, and 18,000 now-unemployed workers to add to the governments welfare roles!

Twinkies survived the great depression but couldn't survive Barack Obama.

Laws can favor unions, but many decisions Hostess made that effected their bottom line didn't involve Obama or a union forcing them to agree to anything. If someone wants a million dollars to mow your lawn, generally speaking, you don't have to pay them, lol. This is a company that filed for bankruptcy twice and also during the same time gave 80% pay raises to their executives.

They currently had over $800 million in debts, owned more factories than what current demands warranted, and had other issues. So apparently they were already screwed in many ways, even if they could have converted their workers over to the minimum wage.

Thanks for this. It's funny to see how there's even sheep in this forum who cling onto their dumb beliefs "herp derp all unions are bad blah blah blah" without even looking at the whole story. Clearly for a company like Hostess to run itself to the ground was a process of bad executive decision making for a great length of time.
