For affiliate marketing, and for any advertising campaign, it is very important to accurately measure the results of an advertising campaign — who clicks where, who the lead came from, etc.


All this is done by the HOQU tracker, but only for those websites / landings that integrate with it. There are several ways to integrate with the tracker, and they all have their pros and cons. In our opinion, each of the methods is worthy of a separate article, so we will devote a whole cycle of materials to the topic of integration. And we will start with the easiest method of integration — the pixel.


A pixel captures how each specific user interacts with advertising and sends data to the tracker.

Migrating To HOQU Platform


For experienced and long-running networks, transferring the existing “baggage” of offers, user accounts, and, in general, everything that has been developed over the years is almost like a real house move.

Only in the case of HOQU, we do not want the migration process to be so labor intensive.

So what's the migration process like?

The migration is the process of moving all of the existing entities to the new platform, including grid users (both ads and web), i.e. creating offers on the new platform, creating web accounts and advertisements, creating campaigns, setting up tracking and so on.

For the sake of maximum ease of migration, HOQU has a special “Migration service”.

How exactly can we help with the migration:
First, we discuss what entities will be migrated and the approximate dates, then we develop an individual migration plan;

Next, we will independently upload and import all the entities;

During the migration process, the current offers and advertising campaigns will continue to receive traffic: the entities will be completely stopped on your current platform only after the affiliates update tracking links on their side and the advertisers update the postback links;

Assistance in migration is provided by a personal manager.
We provide 100% cashback for the migration service. What does that mean? It means that we will individually calculate the cost of the migration for you. We will then credit this amount to your balance on our platform after and completion of all the works.

What is affiliate marketing?

Simply put, affiliate marketing is when someone (an agency or an individual), whom we will later call an affiliate, helps promote a brand for a small commission.
In this case, the commission depends on the amount of purchases, subscriptions, registrations on a website, application downloads, etc. In other words, the brand pays only for the specific target actions of the client.

Some basic definitions:

A brand promoted by an affiliate is a merchant (advertiser, marketer, seller).

The affiliate program is also called an offer. These are actions the client will take and how much the merchant is willing to pay for them.

If a client, who visited a website (thanks to an affiliate), performs an action that the merchant is willing to pay for, this committed action is called a lead.

This payment model is called CPA (Cost per Action).

In fact, it all works quite simply: for example, you are an affiliate of an online store selling books and you recommend a book → people buy this book by following your link → you get a percentage of each such sale.

Such were the schemes of the very first affiliate programs (check out out History of Affiliate Marketing article).

As we've had a few questions by our users, we decided to compile them into a little helpful guide:

Q: What are the targets for the coming months?
A: To extend the number of useful features, such as add a referral program, events tracking, billing opportunities, and also update the dashboard and extend the number of third-party integrations.

Q: What hurdles have you encountered over the last few months and how do you plan to overcome them?
A: We cannot say that there were any noteworthy problems that have significantly affected the processes within the project. Of course, the coronavirus has introduced some adjustments to our work, and now the whole team is working remotely, the rest is in normal mode.

Q: What marketing actions have been taken?
A: We have been listed on thematic sites dedicated to affiliate marketing, and marketing in general. Next is online promotion.

Q: What are key financial metrics, customers over time, effectiveness of marketing efforts?
A: The platform is free for affiliates and advertisers. Tariffs for networks and advertisers who will work with affiliates directly can be found here. The first 30 days of using the platform are free.
Now there are about 3,000 active users on the platform, mostly affiliates. We are negotiating cooperation with 250+ networks and advertisers.
The main source of contact is events.

Q: What is the current stage of resolution of the associated legal issues, such as the obtaining of a license in Estonia, and the use of tokens?
A: We ourselves decided not to get a license, because the process of obtaining a license was very long. How can the tokens be used on the HOQU business version without a license:
- the tokens are exchanged for bonuses (we plan to do this through our partners;
- the bonuses are used to pay monthly fees for using the platform;
- up to 30% discount will be provided when using tokens;
- tokens can be used every month;
- settlements between platform participants are made in fiat
- to make use of the tokens, you just need to write to us. Then there will be a form in the interface.

The tokens can be used now, so those who want to create their own cpa-network can contact us with a request now and get a discount.

Q: Is there any news regarding the further development of the blockchain version of the HOQU platform?
A: All the same, we are waiting for the update of the Ethereum blockchain, then we will finalize the platform, then launch the platform. This is going to take a while.

Q: Have any listing efforts been done?
A: Negotiations with exchanges are still paused.
