Just enjoying my first day at home in with our new baby girl. Thought I'd post cos it's fucking awesome (even though I know babies are generally of no interest to anyone except their parents :) )

A few observations:

-Babies are really freaky. I mean, she's lovely, but they are like weird little aliens. Cute ones though.
-I can't believe I'm allowed to take responsibility for another human being. Bahahahaha.
-I will never look at women the same way again after seeing my wife give birth. How on earth somebody who complains if the fucking lights are too bright in the house or I leave a door open so it's cold can go through that is beyond me.
- It's at this point I'm really glad I don't have a proper job, so I can just kick back, stay home, and have fun with our new little arrival.


Right, I need some sleep.

My wife is going to be giving birth to our first kid (daughter as well) very soon, due date 22nd.. I'll be making my own thread as well. :P
 
Congrats! I've got 2 daughters of my own. Each new day is better than the one before. Enjoy each and every one of them, cause they go by fast!
 
Enjoy every minute of it man. Seems like yesterday we had our daughter and she's already 18 months old. You'll never get these days back (same thing I keep telling myself when she's screaming her head off now). Congrats!
 
Random thought - the black tar that comes out of the baby a few hours after birth was the most unexpected thing I've ever encountered. Not a big deal with the second kid, but I had no idea what the hell was going on the first time.

It's called meconium, and it's nasty stuff.

Congrats on that new baby! Enjoy every moment of her and take as many moments as you can to watch her - they do grow so fast. Seems like I had newborns just recently but now they're 2 and 4....
 
Nice dude. My wife is due the 17th, so our son will be here anytime now. I also enjoy working from home and look forward to being able to spend more time with them. I wasn't always there for my first son, since he lives with his mom most of the time. Enjoy!
 
Congratulations man! Like I said before kids are the greatest blessing on Earth.

Personal advice from experience: Make sure your wife does Kegel exercises now so her pussy tightens back up. You don't want to go back to sex in 6 weeks and have it feel like you're throwing a hot dog down a hallway.
