check this out.. this is a campaign with 2 Landing Pages and for both of them, Yahoo search performed poorly compared to its search partners. What's going on?! i thought Yahoo search supposedly had better quality traffic than its search partners?!

If only i could block out yahoo search's traffic...

there's good search partners and then there are shit search partners. You've got to test to find the good ones, yahoo search is somewhere in the middle.

One lead? I mean we give people shit for coming in here with around 10 leads and saying that this offer or page sucks and you come at us with one page that has 1 lead and one that has 0 with around the same amount of clicks?

Come back after you run the thing enough to have at least 15-20 leads on each page and only then can you even come close to telling what page might be doing better and even then you don't have to come back here with it, just use the data and run with it.

I wanted to know whether people were experiencing poorer conversion rates on Yahoo Search as compared to its search partners. Simple.

Not trying to be mean or anything but everyone who knows figures that if they had to spend money to find out, and you are a potential competitor that you should go out and have to waste your money to find out as well.

Not many people are willing to give out information that they paid for to someone else for free who could be a potential competitor.

Some people will tell you the opposite to screw you up as well so it is best to test it completely yourself.

Not enough volume to generate an inference from.
Actually thats plenty of info. Thats over 300 clicks to yahoo with not one sale and only what less then 100 to other sites and a few sales. Straaaange, actually im having this happen to me now on one of my campaigns. I suggest you checking out the sites that it converted on and see if theres any other keyword variations you can pick up. Worked for me..... good luck

Dude is comparing 1-4 conversion to 0 conversions. You can't get any more insufficient data than that. He most likely is working on a small budget, and his campaign hasn't gotten a chance to be placed on all the shitty yahoo search partner sites. Once he scales that shit, there is bigger possibility that he will see the opposite.

^^^ lol what? He has 6 sales in 45 clicks from non yahoo sites. 1 sale in over 300 clicks using yahoo. How is that insufficient data? You want him to scale his campaign when he doesnt even have a consistent profit converting ppc campaign? How do you want him to scale, do you want him to do media buying or content or what lol

For me, i will check what keywords triggered in both yahoo search and yahoo search partner sites. Perhaps the keywords triggered are different. Also check ovraw keywords if possible especially if you target using advanced match.

Again, the data sampels are too small imo.
