Off-topic here, but you should never have all positions open on a blog for advertising. It just makes you look desperate. Get your designer to make up a couple buttons (or grab some) for some big names and just put them there for free. People will subconsciously think your site has some traction.

While hiring writers, check out the experience of the writer and the rate. Try to go for rates within $6/article and $10/article. Regards.

1.) Get rid of your generic duplicate ad banners on the left hand corner.

2.) Save an image of other popular blog banners.

3.) Place them in position of your current rotations.

4.) Create a sense of quality while advertising big name banners that you do not get paid for.
