I'm new to affiliate marketing. A out of work truck driver with two small girls to support and a wife that doesn't make much. I got the idea from a infomercial. The infomercial didn't jibe, it sounded to good and with a quick google it was. I am willing to work hard and have good writing skills for copy but I'm not going to pay money for the privilage of working hard. That is just stupid. I need to hear feedback from real people that have made real money. Also I refuse to defraud people to make my money. I have a set of ethecs that I won't go against.

why would this industry be unethical we put product in front of people and they decide if they want it or not... so I don't think ethics and morals have anything to do with it!

To get started, just sign up with an affiliate network. That is where you find products & offers to promote. When signing up just say your method is PPC->CPA so that you don't have to give them any details about your methods. Ignore any affiliate network that wants to make you jump through more hoops or wants you to pay to enter or any nonsense like that - fact is aff networks need you more than you need them.
Once signed in, look through all the offers/products. Find something you're comfortable with promoting. Then start driving traffic to it, a certain percentage will convert on the offer and you'll make your money. Make a landing page to pre-sell the offer and that'll help improve your conversion rate.
Ethics is tough, some of the easiest ways of making money with affiliate marketing involves misleading people through through lies of omission or outright lies. A lot of times we justify it by inserting fine print into our landers that we know people won't read.

since you are out of job and have to support family, i might as well help. Before you jump on the affiliate marketing roller coaster, first learn what is a CPA offer, how advertisers make money (this is important coz most newbies just dont understand how this works and end up getting fucked coz they call their friends to enter emails in email submits).
Read up the entire newbies section especially the stickies. Spend a good 1 week on Affbuzz.com - Affiliate Marketing News & Blog Aggregator. Read, read read. Once you get a hang on it, start with a small niche and atleast launch a blog on the related topic. Start applying to CPA networks which are more newbie friendly. You better change your attitude towards paying money. You can surely everything by yourself besides advertising. Use google adwords coupons or FB coupons (not recommended) if u r too low on funds

No not at all I have scope and ambition. You guys don't get it. Your funny but you don't get it. I heard about a program 20.00 then they call you on the phone constantly trying to get you to upgrade 4k for coaching. I don't have that kind of money falling out of my ass ok. I know everyone has to figure it out on their own and find their nitch. I'm just trying to get some basics. It wasn't easy to come on a site and ask for help. Not my thing, but I was compelled to come here because I stumbled onto it and some of your guys know what the hell your doing. imo ethics are for philosophical discussions. Any real marketer only gives a fuck about legalities.
op glad you posted back. I was only telling it like it is. Infomercials are BS because they All claim it's 'fast and easy'.
Recently someone made a thread here about selling LED lites. Yeah I flamed him because this forum is populated by net savy dudes. WTF we all know about alibaba.com for christ's sake.
But if I'm reading you right you need money Now; not next year. As a trucker you would have a real edge selling to truckers (and probably truck stops). You talk the talk, you walk the the walk. You can't buy that for any amount of money. If you found some products that would help truckers you could sell them easily -- cause it'd be from the heart.
Me I'm a racer; same deal, when I talk to real drivers or post in driving forums there is No BS in my words. I understand them from an emotional point of view -- I've been there (shit I fuckin live there, always have, always will). This is why I've recently shifted my online focus.
So maybe short term you could find great buys online add a markup and sell that shit In person. Or maybe you are one of the few that can throw up a website buy the right keywords and start making bank asap.

I gave it up when my oldest girl was 2 at the time called me "uncle daddy" I got a local job then that dryed up. Most companys here are going out of buisness.
