Hi all,
Just a question regarding backlinks.
If i did a search on google for a "KW allowed html tags:<a>" and i get about 100k results.Leaving a comment on those sites would result in a backlink right?
Are these comments called manual backlinking?
I would only get about 10-20 results with PR2 or higher , how would i go about finding more such sites?
Thanks

Sed venenatis lacus nec nibh ultrices sed euismod velit varius. Sed convallis ligula non diam viverra mollis. Aliquam a leo sit amet sapien blandit vehicula at nec lectus. Maecenas vehicula ligula in nulla fringilla congue eleifend mauris congue. Pellentesque eget elit mi, a blandit turpis. Nulla pellentesque nunc purus, quis gravida leo.

Read everything in "Traffic and Content" and "Enlightened members" sections.

If you have FireFox as your browser get the SEO4FireFox plugin. You can then type into Google your niche and be able to easily sort through the results far quicker-- and by the way you can go to the settings in your browser to allow it to display 50 or even 100 results, instead of 10, which will help you to sift through them much quicker.

Watch Guerilla's (sp) creating back links by hand series, very very good at answering your exact question.

but yes, what you post will result in a back link if it is auto approved and eventually indexed by google as well.

Scrapebox (being the most popular by far) can find websites/blogs following specific criteria such as what you listed (PR this, this niche/keyword).

from my experience, you should do backlinks completely by hand. I do not prefer using any software to create backlink blasts. Use SEO4FireFox to support your work.

No, leaving a comment isn't guaranteed to get you a link. Lots of blog owners are sending links in the comments to spam a lot more now days because they're getting flooded with them. You should scrape a little more thorough instead of being so broad.

Drill down through your niche and compile a list of relevant sites to comment on. That way you can formulate targeted comments.

Example: Let's say your niche revolves around beds, bedding etc.

Scrape for bedding, bed pillows, sheets etc

comments that should yield good results

"I've been {searching|looking} for {something|a product} that looks and feels {wonderful|great} on my new bed. This was {great|wonderful|good|awesome}! Thanks!"

See? You just made a comment that should fit on most of the blogs you scraped that are accepting comments as long as you scraped them correctly. Not to mention Google will love you more for having a spot on comment with a link back that's relevant. If you're linking from a Japanese anime blog back to your bedding site it doesn't make sense.
