I'd go for the 4:3 one, strictly speaking it has more screen real estate than the widescreen
flat panel and lcd are the same thing

but if you really want the best possible picture, get this samsung
it's going to cost you more but the color difference is definitely noticeable
 
Have you considered a dual screen setup? It will increase your productivity significantly.

i agree, but thats just because i dont like widescreens. 4:3 seems natural.
 
You can get dell 20" widescreens for like $279 now... just get 6 of those and you are good to go :)
 
thanks for the responses. i'm going to go with option 2. Its also because I dont think I would like the widescreen. I thought about getting dual monitors, maybe at a later date.
 
Ive had tons of dell ultrasharps. They have great pictures. I do not like the 30" with dual inputs thats the only reason I went with the apple display.

Interesting. I have been leaning towards getting the Dell over the Apple. So what don't you like about the 30" Dell the picture I assume, but what specifically?
