cowsgonemad:

It all depends on what you are trying to learn and what your goals are... The memory realm is huge and it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

If you define it I'll try to send you in the right direction. A buddy of mine who is a memory champion and held several U.S. records and I have been talking for years about putting a course together.

Here is a good primer for everyone about the whole subject in 2 parts featuring Andi Bell. The dude is amazing:

Before you spend a TON of money on Scheele's stuff I would advise reading the following books:

There 'really' isn't anything that 'mystical' about learning how to 'do it'.

You are basically learning a whole new language and like everything else it takes practice, practice, practice. However, once you got it down cold it's like riding a bike. Oh, the payoffs can be incredible as well...

Here is another one for $12 and much better then any Scheele course:

Brainfit - 10 minutes a day

[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Brainfit-Minutes-Sharper-Mind-Memory/dp/1401602231/ref=sr_1_6?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1298740560&sr=1-6]Amazon.com: Brainfit: 10 Minutes a Day for a Sharper Mind and Memory (9781401602239): Corinne Gediman, Dr. Francis Michael Crinella Ph.D.: Books[/ame]

No, but I would definitely recommend Scott Young's Learning on Steroids course.
