Yep, its fireworks non stop all around the neighborhood in Beijing. Been going on for hours on end, its 12.46am and their still at it. Not seen so much fireworks used by the public in my life.

Car alarms are going off, and its so noisy its like a war zone.

In Bangkok and it's a normal Sunday night.. If I had known I would have gotten smashed and then headed to Chinatown...

happy new year

New Year's in China is something everyone should experience at least once in their life. It's absolute madness for a couple days in a row. I remember those heavy duty fireworks that would be illegal anywhere else in the world, but in China you can buy them for a few dollars at every street corner.

^I did. Thanks for the correction.

For anyone that wants to see a glimpse of what it's like being in Shanghai during this time of the year... check this out:

It's absolutely crazy. This lasts for days.

Speaking of fireworks, I've been to this one in Taiwan where fireworks shoot into the crowds.

happy new year indeed.
did that "best all star male cheer racer" grow up to be the fat guy with the gun from the other thread?

"gong xi fa cai" and "xin nian kuai le" are both mandarin. that's what 90% + of people say.

you probably got it confused with the cantonese "Gung hay fat choy" (which is gongxifacai in cantonese)

Wow, All this time I only know "gong xi fa cai", and didn't know the other

^Haha that's from the fireworks dude. It's just sick. You can buy high caliber fireworks at every street corner for a few bucks. When I say high caliber I mean the ones that you'd need a license to buy in the U.S... pretty much every single household buys their fireworks, and businesses/restaurants spend even more money because apparently the more fireworks you start the more luck you'll have during the new year. Dem niggas don't mess with luck. lol

get smoke covers the whole city for days. blast fireworks at 3am, damn niggas I wake them up for good.
