Great video, and really makes you appreciate what we have. The internet has changed so much for everyone, slowly overtime, its getting better and better each day, But we don't sit back and notice where it came from. We may notice the small improvements from day to day, but have you ever sat back and thought about the implications it has had on society.

its only 10 minutes long, well worth the watch

Isaac Asimov predicted the Internet of today 20 years ago. [VIDEO]

Wow.

Nice post. Seriously worth watching.

It really makes you appreciate the power of the internet... Our reality is what this guy was predicting 20 years ago. Pretty amazing how much he understands how it will impact humanity.

This video was done in 1988 and when you look back at the internet in the early years i could see how could come this this conclusion. The first time I got on the internet was right around 1990 my friend was showing me this how 2 manual on Ananrchy (we were in highschool) now I was just a stupid kid and new that the internet was cool because you could find stuff.

Now when you look at Isaac's biography you see that the guy was extremely smart and very open minded its not that much a stretch for him to think this way. Most people involved back in the late 70's and then the 80's new the internet was a big deal although i am sure most didn't know how.

Either way this video is a great find with a spot on analysis. With out the internet I have no idea how I would learn? I learn something everyday because of it and think I am a smarter more rounded person because of it. Now you have to wonder where is the internet in 20 more years? Who is the visionary that will predict the next 20 years?

In the next 20 years the internet would be filled with very well done MFA's.

I think in the next 20 years, the internet would be so well integrates with our lives that every single electronic product in the home will find some use of the web.

our refrigerators will connect to the web to download and show recipes.

our televisions channels will be streaming live from the internet.

our watches will be able to connect to wifi to update the exact time & time zone.

I think to enable an object to connect to the internet, it will be so cheap to do - that their would be no reason for not allowing it to.

One huge thing which I think will happen is, mirrors with touchscreen monitors built in,I think it will be in most bathrooms of America. So when people are brushing their teeth in the morning, they can get updates on news and things like this., or when they are on the crapper, they can have some background music.
