Google Slapped for Uploading Databse?

I have a couple sites that I want to use databases for... for example, say my site is about car dealers and I have a database of all the car dealers in the United States.

If I'm using Wordpress, clean the data and stick it into my Wordpress table then I'll essentially be adding thousands and thousands of unique posts in one day. I'm pretty sure this is something google penalizes.

So... what do you do? Or does it not matter?

He talks about launching millions of new pages there and says thousands are okay. But I don't know about it if you're a brand new site... *shrug*

FWIW, I just started a new site less than a month ago and submitted a sitemap with 174,000 pages. I was indexed within a few days and the page count has steadily increased since, to just over 240 today.

You could add a column "live" and run a cron job every day that sets some new items live. (I think there already is such a column in wordpress)
