Google maps newbie

Anyone have experience with the Google Maps API. I am just getting started on a free site and wanted to get feedback on its usability from a web designers point of view.

I've never used it but I've seen a couple of implementations of it and I think it's very cool.

What kind of content are you serving?
It'd be silly to stick Google Maps into your site if it's got nothing to do with it

I just submitted my first ever google sitemap.

I got a plugin for my vbulletin board that automatically generates and submits one for me.
