Google Instant Previews - how to disable?

Has anyone figured out a reliable way to disable the previews yet? Considering I'm not logged in and clear cookies often. There has to be some flag you can pass into the URL to turn that crap off. Those things are so annoying!

I believe clicking the mag-glass on the right is the switch to turn it off and on.

Try using Opera - It doesn't work with Opera AFAIK

This is controlled by cookies. As soon as cookies are erased, the fix is gone. I erase cookies several times per day, to avoid personalization of results.

I looked at it. I wish it worked the other way around though. Allow all, and then block only certain sites. However it seems to disable all by default, and then it gives an option to whitelist certain sites.

i think if you click on the magnifying glass at the right of the result, you can disable or enable the instant preview...

That's wicked man! Thanks a lot. Too bad Greasemonkey is broken on my install and for the life of me I can't figure out what's wrong. The only thing I didn't try is to reinstall Firefox from scratch, but that's really not an option atm

start running your searches through ssl.scroogle.org

it'll fix both your problems + more you may not realize you have
