Okay, I am all confused. I made some money with a couple of ad's I run on google, but to be honest, I can't for the life of me figure out where to place either the analytical code or the conversion code on my wordpress powered site!

I tried reading the google help sections, but they're more confusing than anything. It's like information overload.

Is anyone here using a wordpress template and if so, where do you place the codes?

And how accurate are these codes anyway?

Self hosted tracking. Google analytics fires less than half the times. The stats it generates are surprisingly worthwhile and informative, but self hosted will count every click. Prosper202. Download it. It even has tutorial vids! WOW

Actually use both. Googles Code to get an overview of performance, and Ad performance, since it's so much easier to to test different ads on the Search Engine side, and 202 to get exact information such as keywords, refererring traffic, etc.

The google tracking code is meant to go on your merchants 'thank you' page not on your assets/campaigns mate.

Only problem is (let's take ClickBank for example), I as the publisher host the thank you page, and say I have 10 affiliates conversion tracking codes on it. If a surfer clicks on your adwords campaign, comes to my site through your lander/affid, then leaves and does more research, and goes through 5 affiliates ads, and finally buys from the 6th lander/aff, it will show a conversion for all 6 aff's.

Will agree with the above poster to get your own in-house tracking. Sounds like AdPerformance is just that. Even a free statcounter*com account can usually help you track sales quite easily with a tweak here and there on your side.
