Been getting into reading a lot more lately and looking to get some books, anyone know of a good book torrent site that has a lot of titles? Looking for a quality site so basically something that doesn't come up under a "book torrent site" Google search--they all suck. Let me know if you have any! Thanks

Between demonoid and ebooktorrents.org I find most of the books I've looked for.

Check out this torrent (all in epub format):
622 iBooks for iPhone iPad - Demonoid

If you haven't already, check out calibre for converting files for the kindle. It supports pretty much every book file type for input and output.

I do, wonderful program, but the ones that are pre-formated for kindle have chapters and other things indexed already...it's not a big deal, it's just a little nicer.

Props to Doobs for starting this thread- you guys just saved me a grand over the next year. Got the 600 pack via Matt's link- schwing, baby.

edit: Gotta owe ya -Matt- I gave you too much lovin recently, I guess :)

Got this one, lots of quality of books in there too but way too many fiction. Either way I've got the 600+ titles chillin in iTunes right now in case I want to read any of them at some point.

Nice! Didn't know about this one, thanks for posting.

supporting also the gigapedia suggestion. avaxhome.ws can be quite good too. but just by trying a bit around on google most books can be found on some one-click hoster. since their file size are really small it is a much less stressful business than mp3/video stuff.

Sorry to go off topic, but do any of you print out your ebooks or pdf's?

Obviously this is pointless when the book is only $20 or so, but I have several pdf's of books that sell for $800+ and are currently out of print.

Just curious if some of you guys do how you cheaply bind them or put them together?

Right now I just 3 hole punch and pop them in a binder, but its not very convenient.

If you're looking for free books just for leisure, rather than torrented, latest best sellers:
feedbooks.com
ManyBooks.net
Project Gutenberg

I'm getting a kindle3 delivered tomorrow.
Quite exciting to be able to read shedloads of stuff without being tied to my laptop.

Nice I'll check this out. Yeah I agree, that's why I've started reading more actually. So far I'm reading on my iPhone with iBooks, which is working fine for me but I'm upgrading to an iPad soon which will make it even easier. Thanks for the links again.

Reading regular books, the kindle is the best...reading PDFs...the iPad is SO much nicer...I love my kindle...I'm going to get the iPad once the new one comes out, because I can't stand reading PDFs on the kindle, even if they're converted to kindle.
