I have been using GitHub for quite some time now and until recent found out about their newest Windows version.

If you do any sort of coding certainly look at the GitHub, since it's all on the web you can even get apps on your phone to look at code revisions, etc...

great software. i thought it'd be unnecessary but it's well made software and handy for keeping track of checked out repos of libraries i need

though i don't use github for my own private projects, it's too expensive. assembla and bitbucket are both free for unlimited repos.

Also really nice how it's one click clone if you have the windows software isntalled. They did a really nice job on it.

I have Unix ingrained in my fingers so when ever I am on windows I just use Cygwin and git for github stuff.

$7/mo is too expensive? Lol.

$7/mo is lol. However that gets you only 5 private repos. Bitbucket gives you unlimited private repos for $0. Needing only 5 repos is > lol. <3 GitHub but $100 / month for client work that can't be shared doesn't work.

pretty much this. i've about 40 repos for clients. $100 a month for something you could do mostly yourself!? crazy prices.

github for windows actually has me using git, but a better client that works with providers like bitbucket would be great.
