I've got a slim body shape but over the last 6 months I've gone from 32 to 34 inch waste and I'm nervous that I'm going to turn into a fat bastard if I don't do something soon.

My diet hasn't changed. I eat ok, probably a bit heavy on the carbs, 3 slices of bread per day maybe, pasta 4 or 5 times per week.

I do some weights in my garage gym and walk as often as possible, but nothing more intense than that.

Any advice on how the quickest way to strip away the stomach fat?

There is no such way to target certain fat over others. Just start targeting fat loss in general and eventually it will come off. Low Carb and start lifting on a regular basis 4-5 times a week and mix in some cardio if you feel like it.

A lot of the time we eat more than we realize. Write down everything you are eating in a day, and figure out the amount of calories you are consuming, and while you're at it, do some cardio.

Point taken about the fat, it's just that it has accumulated around that part, I've stayed the same elsewhere I think.

I've only lifted weights to give my body some exercise, but is it better to do fewer heavier reps, or more reps with less weight?

I'm not an expert but apparently:

More weight + Less reps = wanting to gain more.
Less weight + More reps = wanting to tone more.

I'm having problems getting rid of fat myself. I've cut my meals in half, eat salads 3-4 times/week for dinner along with a little protein and only eat the occasional dessert now. Yet I'm still at 13% body fat and most of that is still on my tits.

Cardio and weights 4-5x/week for 1-1/2 hours at a time and it still doesn't come off. I may have to hire a nutritionist to help me lose the rest.

step 1: don't post on wickedfire asking for health advice

step 2: paleo works for almost everybody, try it and see if it works for you

Small meals and bland food. Works all the time.

Plain oats + fully skimmed milk in the morning
fruit + nuts in the mid morning
plain rice and grilled chicken breast for lunch (add pepper, lemon juice for flavor)
Same for mid afternoon
Veggie salad + fish fillet in the evening. Have some fruits to fill you up.
Drink lots of water.

Weight training + cardio.

Problem solved... though there's a 99% chance you won't maintain a diet like this. It's incredibly boring and difficult to stick to.
