imo 90% of rap/hip-hip is pretty much garbage in a live concert setting. few exceptions of course, i always had an awesome time watching the roots and groups like them.
i am a HUGE hiphop/rap music fan, but i don't understand why people want to pay money to see 30 dudes on stage echoing each others hype words and half-singing/rapping over their current tracks. "YO whatupppppp Detroiiiitttt......."....."WHAT UP DETROITTTT, YEAAAAA"
i feel like people appreciate beats and lyrics in hip hop music (hardcore fans are enthusiastic about both, casual fans might prefer one over the other), both of which tend to sound like crap at hip hop concerts.
