From Canada? Go to Las Vegas (or maybe Cancun & NY) For Less than 200$ (with hotel)

Just a crazy deal I found while browsing through the Internets.

Expedia.ca is having an amazing promotion that gives you a 300$ rebate for any trip you book with a CA credit card that goes to either NY, Cancun or Las Vegas.

Here is the info:

Expedia.ca offers CAD 300 off all packages to LAS for travel between Nov 20 and Dec 30. No min stay, no mind spend. I tried several weekend dates from New York (flight + 2 nights hotel + airport transfer) = CAD 297, after applying the coupon it shows CAD 0. Works for other cities, too. Compon code is SAVE300, has to be applied on the final billing page, valid until Sunday. Have fun.

(By the way: Code can also be used for 2 other destinations - Cancun and New York)

I just booked a trip in Vegas for a weekend for 220$ from my home city, I know a lot of people who booked for less than 100$ for Vegas as well!

Pretty great deal IMO, I thought a lot of Canadians WFers would happily spend a WE in Vegas for less than a day of work.

Have a nice trip!

very...interesting.

I'm checking it out right now, one thing I notice is that if you book a trip for two adults and one hotel, you only get the $300 saving once. I'm trying to figure out some way to double up on the saving by booking separately, but then you would have to get two hotel rooms, hmm..

yea I'm trying to work that out to, got aim or somethin?

This is what people do:

They use 2 credit cards to do 2 bookings, they book the same flight and the hotel for different days. For example, if you wish to go there from the 5th of December to the 8th, you could book the first 2 nights of hotel with the first booking and then the last day with the second booking, all at the same hotel. It will split the cost even more.

Not saying you should do it, but, some people did it ;)

lol could just book the flight on one CC and rooms on other

good thinking

I'm not sure if that's doable since expedia requires you to purchase the flight+hotel PACKAGE in order to get the $300 savings. If you book only the first 2 nights on the first card, then you will also be booking the return flight too early. I'm not sure you can choose to book the flight for say 4 nights, and the hotel for only 2 nights.

Can you?

Yes you must purchase the flight+hotel package to get the 300$ savings. And as for:

I'm not sure you can choose to book the flight for say 4 nights, and the hotel for only 2 nights.

Yes :) You can.

ah right, forgot about that part

LOL fuck this i cant get it anywhere near $200

I found flight and hotel to Vegas for 1 night for $400 from here in Victoria. It's gotta be a bit cheaper for vancouver.

Im still considering it as it would be $100 for a night in Vegas.

Problem being......flight and hotel are the LEAST of my concerns when it comes to the cost of a trip to Vegas.....

To get it down to $200, it all depends on if you want to stay at the Stratosphere or not lol. But everything is double occupancy, so you need to book for 2 or else you pay higher prices.

The voucher code you entered is not valid. Please check the code and enter it again or select I don't have a voucher to continue.

It seems the rumors they pulled it are true.

Welp.
