anyone know of a good free host, that gives you space and does not require you to have a domain name? so basically a good file uploading service.

I think there is no good thing free for us .Why don't you choose a paid hosting,since there are so many paid hosting that offer low price, and paid hosting will be better than free hosting,online support is a strong advantage.
