I'd just like to apologize to the companies I listed on the leaked list that I had put up, but quickly pulled down. The reason for the apology is because I know what type of damage something like this can do to a company, especially the smaller ones, and I don't want to call anyone out or report on anything unless it's 100% solid. Although I still have complete faith and trust in my old sources and the newer ones too, I will not post anything that would be outting anyone unless I have it in writing from parties directly involved.

I will say this. When more information does come my way, and if a company is in fact named in it, I will call the owner of that company personally and warn them of it, as well as attempt to verify if they've caught wind of it.

Since dropping the bomb of news at the end of Affiliate Summit West in Las Vegas, I have been speaking to many CEO's of ad networks and affiliates. I am proud to be in constant contact so that everyone knows where I stand personally and from a business/news perspective. I'm not trying to ruin anyone's reputation here either. The last thing I want is for a network to go bankrupt or to have to leave our industry. While I may disagree with some people's views, I am not out here to screw anyone, just want to report the news in a fair and just manner.

If I were to post all of the rumors I've heard since story broke, we'd have hundreds of new threads here covering that stuff. 99% of them stuff I hear now is quickly written off as rumor or false. My goal now is to decipher what is legitimate, and what isn't.

So from now on, the only news you get from me on this extremely sensitive topic will be confirmed by every source PLUS documents in writing, so that we all know what is real and what isn't. I'm still keeping a lot of information withheld for privacy reasons, but will make it public as soon as I have the greenlight from sources directly involved.

So again, sorry if this may have caused anyone to be pissed off at me or just plain mad. If your network was in my original list, you can send me an email at Jon @ wickedfire.com or catch me on AIM at anytime and we can talk about it at length privately. I will not be mentioning ANY of the original company list names ever again until there is conclusive evidence proving that they are in fact on the evil list.

It takes a lot of balls to publically apologize for doing something that could have possible hurt many people/companies. Even though we only met briefly at ASW and you could give a shit about my opinion, my respect has gone up for you tenfold with that apology.

Kudos to you.

Thanks Steve, means a lot mate!

What exactly did you write?

Sometimes it's smarter to read around first than post silly questions that everyone else knows about except for you. I guess the rock you've been living under doesn't get a good internet connection eh?

Good job Jon. Sometimes its wise to admit your mistakes, you're a bigger man for it. (insert funny small penis joke here)

It was the right thing to do dude.

Congrats on being big enough to admit when you were wrong and confident enough to not be afraid of the consequences.
