I think it would be great if someone put together a simple glossary linking to simple examples.

As a noob, things like Splogs, MFA sites, even craiglists ads, dont really draw a picture for me in my head. I mean its obvious what they are and their intent, but what one LOOKS like isnt really there.

Im honestly looking.. hard... for links to these techniques but noone wants to link to shit. Everythings talked about and its hard/nearly impossible to find examples of these techniques.

I think it would be well worth it for the wickedfire noob community to have a sticky thats just:
This is a MFA site example
This is a splog example
This is an example craigslist ad

etc.

I hope someone can commiserate with this and not just tell me im a noob and need to read more or go google something as I have been trying all of that to no success.

Thanks!

tutorials are good but id like to see a hands on glossary of sorts. (yeah, wrong thread title, so shoot me)

it would be nice to know what these actually look like (ie links to pages that employ these tactics):
MFA, splog, craigslist spam, strategic ad placement, (insert seo technique here), cloaking, edu backlinks, black hat techniques (may/may not be appropriate), etc

maybe im getting greedy now but even a one-liner would be nice. something explaining why it works.

im not asking for a 'heres how to do THIS in 12 steps', instead 'cloaking works because google sees a different page, as shown above, which is highly seo optimized.' would rock

thanks for taking notice seo_mike

Okay, I understand. There are actually a lot of threads here that do exactly what your asking for. I've seen ones that pick apart MFA sites, point out great ad blending, etc.

It can be difficult and tedious to find some of them, but they are available. Maybe it's something you should task yourself with. Find threads that answer your questions then post a thread with links to those. Done properly, it could probably end up as a sticky, and garner you the respect and admiration of n00bs and members alike :D
