You guys get to do a lot more than I do!! I'm stuck with old fashion paper and pen at work!

At my wage earning job......no access to a computer! To work on something I want to write about, I print out what I want to research and read it at work highlighting and making notations on it. Next I make an outline in a notebook. I brainstorm a lot at work, I have several notebooks filled with ideas and plans.

I work in a bank, and all internet traffic goes through THEIR proxy. They just blacklist domains and even kill access based on a "bad word" list.

So brandspankingnew.com is blocked as porn.

Argh..

They also block proxies. And they are quite quick about it.

My job does everything you speak of except blocking any proxy ports. You could try running your own proxy and running it on port 21 or 53 and see if that could slip thru as normal traffic.

You should even be able to use your home pc if you have an always on connection. If your home ip is not static you can use something like [SIZE=-1]http://www.dyndns.com.[/SIZE] Just only allow a certain ip or ip range and make sure you run a good firewall and security monitoring software to make sure no one else is getting access to your proxy.
